For couples, groups, and churches

Everyone on the same page, with no homework

Let It Shape Your Life began inside a weekly Bible study, written for a real group of people at very different places in their faith.

Because the studies are dated, a group can simply agree to read the same day. Nobody has to prepare a lesson, chase down commentary, or explain the background before the conversation can start. The context is already on the page, so the person who has read Scripture for fifty years and the person who opened a Bible last week can talk about the same passage together.

The Think About It question gives a natural place to begin discussion, and the notes space lets people bring their own thoughts back to the group. Couples use it across the breakfast table. Families read it aloud. Sunday school classes and men's and women's groups work through it week by week. Whole churches can read the same study on the same day and talk about it all week.

A group leader needs nothing more than a copy of the book and a willingness to ask the question at the bottom of the page.

Who it's for

Use it your way

The same book works on your own at 6 a.m., across the table from your spouse, or in front of a room on Sunday morning. Everyone reads the same study, and everyone has enough context to take part.

  • Individuals
  • Married couples
  • Families
  • Bible study groups
  • Small groups
  • Sunday school classes
  • Men's and women's groups
  • Entire churches
  • People returning to Christianity
  • People who are curious about Christ

The theology here is plainly Christian. Scripture, prayer, faith, Jesus Christ, and salvation are named clearly and not softened. What changes is the door: the writing is welcoming and understandable, so someone new to Christianity can walk in without feeling lost, and someone who has walked with Christ for fifty years still finds depth.
